BTIG Expands Investment Banking Unit with Head of Specialty Finance Daniel Blood


New York – June 2, 2020 BTIG announced today that Daniel Blood has joined the firm’s Investment Banking unit as the Head of Specialty Finance. In the last three years, BTIG has significantly expanded Investment Banking, adding to its existing corporate finance teams in San Francisco, New York, Chicago and Boston.

Mr. Blood joins BTIG Investment Banking as a Managing Director in New York, where he will lead the Specialty Finance effort. Prior to BTIG, he was the Group Head of Real Estate and the Head of the New York office at FBR, where he spent ten years. Mr. Blood also served at Bear Stearns for 18 years, where he held a variety of capital markets and investment banking roles. He began his career at Chemical Bank, where he was a Lending and Relationship Banker in the Chicago Office for five years. Mr. Blood earned a BA in economics from Davidson College and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
