BTIG Further Expands Research Effort Dane Leone, CFA, to Launch Diagnostics and Life Sciences
New York — July 8, 2014 — BTIG LLC, a global financial services firm specializing in institutional trading and related brokerage services, announced today that Dane Leone has joined the firm as a Director and Diagnostics and Life Sciences Analyst. Leone has broad healthcare experience, having covered diagnostics, healthcare services and life sciences during his eight years as both a sell- and buy-side research analyst. At BTIG, Dane will focus on diagnostics and life sciences sectors. His addition further strengthens BTIG’s highly regarded research effort which spans a variety of industries.

Dane joins from Macquarie Capital where he covered healthcare and consumer stocks along with US equity strategy. Prior to that, Dane worked on a portfolio management team at Alliance Bernstein where he covered healthcare stocks and quantitative strategy. Dane earned a CFA designation in 2009 and graduated from SUNY Albany in 2004.
Leone’s hire is BTIG’s latest move to expand its research offerings, which now includes a global strategist, a technical strategist and seven publishing analysts covering the consumer, financials, healthcare, media, entertainment, cable and satellite, internet, communications equipment, telecom services and special situations sectors. This month BTIG also hired Hartaj Singh as a Biotechnology Analyst.
