BTIG Names Richard Jacklin Chief Operating Officer of Securities Division


New York – December 13, 2021 BTIG announced today that Richard Jacklin has been named Chief Operating Officer of Securities at BTIG. In this newly created role at the firm, Mr. Jacklin will report directly to Scott Kovalik, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BTIG.

Mr. Jacklin will be focused on driving strategic priorities and capitalizing on synergies across the firm’s Securities division which is inclusive of equities, fixed income, currency and commodities platforms. He has served in several key leadership roles with BTIG in both the U.S. and across the firm’s affiliate entities in Europe, Asia and Australia.

Now, as Chief Operating Officer of Securities, he will focus on aligning our various multi-asset class products across the Securities division, standardizing internal processes and procedures, and improving the firm’s product reach globally. He brings extensive client relationships, operational know-how and market knowledge, all of which contribute to elevating our client experience.”

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Jacklin served as Head of Client Relationship Management and International Equities at BTIG. His experience often crossing over into other products at the firm outside of the Institutional Equities business. Formalizing this new role allows BTIG to better position itself to move forward with new initiatives across the Securities division. He will also maintain his responsibilities and focus on client relationship management, new global initiatives and international trading.

Prior to BTIG, Mr. Jacklin was a Principal and Portfolio Manager within Equity, Foreign Exchange and Credit Public Investments at RP Capital Group. Previously, he managed internal equity portfolios for the Equity Strategy division at Merrill Lynch, where he also managed International Emerging Markets Equity Trading.
