BTIG to Host Alternative Lending and Financial Technology Conference – Leading Providers to Participate in Inaugural Industry Event

New York – June 4, 2015 – BTIG, LLC, a global financial services firm specializing in institutional trading, investment banking, research and related brokerage services, announced today that it will host the inaugural BTIG Alternative Lending and Financial Technology Conference in New York City on June 30, 2015. The conference will bring management from nearly 20 leading alternative lending marketplaces and financial technology companies together with institutional investors. Focusing on the evolving industry, the conference will consist of interactive panel discussions and small group meetings.

With BTIG’s extensive network of industry relationships and insight into the alternative lending space, the conference will be attended by some of the industry’s most rapidly-growing companies including personal and student lenders as well as balance sheet and marketplace small business lenders. “Technology and innovation are enabling alternative lenders to disrupt the consumer, student and small-business loan space, and to fill funding needs ignored by traditional banks. Despite rapid adoption, alternative lenders have barely scratched the surface of their potential. BTIG’s event will help clients understand how various alternative lenders are positioned and what trends to be mindful of in the future,” said Mark Palmer, Managing Director and Financials Analyst at BTIG.

The conference is part of BTIG’s Corporate Access offering that produces over 100 events each year for the firm’s institutional investor clients. “With our increasing research and commentary about the alternative lending industry, we feel it is the next natural step in our progression to engage companies and investors in a conference that facilitates a constructive dialogue between stakeholders,” said Karen Blando, Managing Director and Director of Research at BTIG. “As providers continue to gain market share and impact the traditional lending marketplace, investors are beginning to take notice of the changing landscape.”
