Jennifer Mermel is a Managing Director and Chief Strategy Officer of BTIG. Ms. Mermel leads strategic planning and initiatives to ensure that operations are consistently aligned with the firm’s goals. Most recently, she was the Chief Operating Officer implementing the optimal operational controls, administrative procedures, reporting capabilities and systems as well as positioning the right leaders in place to effectively foster growth, financial strength, and operating efficiency. Previously, she was the Chief of Staff of BTIG, managing the firm’s Corporate Communications, Human Resources, Administrative and Real Estate teams, and coordinating philanthropic giving. Ms. Mermel is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Leadership Committee. She has overseen some of BTIG’s largest contracts, including market data, healthcare and leasing. Ms. Mermel has worked closely with the firm’s strategic partners to improve operating efficiencies and is a founding member of BTIG. She was instrumental in launching BTIG’s European and Asia-Pacific international affiliate entities as well as Bass Trading, a predecessor firm. Earlier in her career, Ms. Mermel was a Vice President on the Program Trading desk at Goldman Sachs, subsequent to their purchase of Spear, Leeds and Kellogg. She earned a BA in history from the College of Holy Cross, and an MA in international political economy and development from Fordham University.
