Stephen Ponzio

Stephen Ponzio is Head of Electronic Trading and Head of Execution Strategy at BTIG. Mr. Ponzio brings to the firm twenty years of experience in equity trading, on both the sell-side and the buy-side. Prior to joining BTIG, he ran electronic trading at Millennium, where he designed the platform to be more systematic, automated, and data-driven. Previously, Mr. Ponzio was a Director at Citi, where he built Citi’s US trading algorithms and systematized risk pricing on Citi’s Cash Trading Desk. He earned an MS in computer science and a Ph.D. in mathematics and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
