BTIG Continues Expansion of Institutional Equities Coverage Team with Mark Corcoran – Firm Attracts Another Industry Leader to Grow Sales and Trading Expertise


New York – September 28, 2016 – BTIG, LLC announced today that Mark Corcoran, Managing Director, has joined the firm’s Institutional Equities Group. Based in New York, he will report to Richard J. Blank, Jr., Managing Director and Head of Global Equities, at BTIG.

With 20 years of industry experience, Mr. Corcoran has spent his career focused on institutional equities in a variety of client coverage roles. Prior to BTIG, he was Head of New York Sales Trading at FBR Capital Markets. Previously, Mr. Corcoran was a Managing Director of Institutional Equities at Macquarie Capital. Earlier in his career, he held similar roles at Lazard Capital, Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearns.

While the firm continues to strengthen its institutional equities business, BTIG has also recently made significant investments into its Institutional Equity Research and Investment Banking Groups that specialize in the consumer, healthcare, financials, REITs and TMT sectors.
