BTIG Enhances Outsource Trading Division with Industry Veteran and Managing Director Daniel Ryan


New York – October 5, 2020 BTIG announced today that Daniel Ryan has joined the firm’s Outsource Trading division as a Managing Director. Mr. Ryan will be based in the firm’s Red Bank, New Jersey office, and will report to Chris Casanovas, Managing Director and Head of Outsource Trading, at BTIG.

At BTIG, Mr. Ryan’s expertise across the credit spectrum will expand the Outsource Trading unit’s capabilities. “We are thrilled to welcome Dan to BTIG,” commented Mr. Casanovas. “He is an accomplished credit trader with more than 20 years of industry experience, and deep relationships on the Street. Our clients will appreciate his market insight, and attention to delivering the highest degree of precision to their trades across the credit universe.”

Prior to BTIG, Mr. Ryan was the Head Trader at Brookfield Asset Management. Previously, he was a Credit Trader at Elliott Management. Earlier in his career, Mr. Ryan was a Portfolio Manager at UBS Securities and a Vice President within High-Yield Trading and Special Situations at Morgan Stanley. He earned a BA in finance from the Sellinger School of Business and Management at Loyola University Maryland.
