BTIG Enhances TradeSave™ Electronic Trading Business with Seasoned Industry Professionals – Firm Hires Joshua Bieber, Cullen Bowden, Martin Kosina and Rob Wands


New York – August 23, 2018 BTIG, LLC announced today that four new hires have joined the firm’s TradeSaveTM – Electronic Trading division: Joshua Bieber, Cullen Bowden, Martin Kosina and Rob Wands. Mr. Bowden and Mr. Wands will be based in Dallas, Mr. Bieber in New York, and Mr. Kosina in the firm’s San Francisco office.

Led by Anthony Brown and Joe Tartoni, Managing Directors and Co-Heads of BTIG Electronic Trading – TradeSaveTM, the Electronic Trading business provides clients with a state-of-the-art, unbiased approach to low-touch execution. “Joshua, Cullen, Martin and Rob will help us continue to launch best-of-breed, intelligent electronic trading tools, and an even more productive client support model,” said Mr. Tartoni. “With their execution expertise and deep understanding of our trading technology, they will help clients monitor performance, better manage costs, and empower them to make better trading decisions.”

Mr. Bieber joins BTIG as a Director within Electronic Trading – TradeSave™, focused on sales and support. Prior to BTIG, he spent more than six years within electronic trading at Bloomberg Tradebook. Previously, Mr. Bieber was a Vice President at Citigroup Alternative Investments, where he was also Head of the Long/Short Desk at Tribeca Global.

Mr. Bowden joins BTIG as a Senior Vice President within Electronic Trading – TradeSave™, focused on sales and support. He brings more than fifteen years of electronic trading experience. Prior to BTIG, Mr. Bowden held a client relations role at Thomson Reuters REDI. Earlier in his career, he was a Vice President within Global Execution Services at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Kosina joins BTIG as a Senior Vice President within Electronic Trading – TradeSave™, focused on technical development. Prior to BTIG, he worked within technical leadership and operations on large-scale smart-grid systems deployed in North America and Melbourne, Australia. Previously, Mr. Kosina held a role in market data scalability at Yahoo! Finance, and managed trade flow validation within the equities technology business at Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Wands joins BTIG as a Director within Electronic Trading – TradeSave™, focused on sales and support. He has over twenty-five years of institutional trading experience. Prior to BTIG, Mr. Wands spent twelve years as a Director within Algorithmic Trading Sales at Knight/KCG. Previously, he was a Managing Director and Head of Sales at UNX, and a Senior Vice President, Head of Sales at Capital Institutional Services (CAPIS).
