BTIG Investment Banking Division Adds Healthcare Information Technology and Digital Health Specialist Chris Dorn as a Managing Director

New York – November 19, 2020 BTIG announced today that Chris Dorn has joined the firm as a Managing Director within its Healthcare Investment Banking division. Mr. Dorn will focus on healthcare information technology (IT) and digital health companies and report to K.C. Stone, Managing Director and Head of Healthcare Investment Banking, at BTIG.

In his new role, Mr. Dorn will work to launch healthcare IT banking and strengthen the existing digital health subsector coverage. As a dedicated product specialist, he will be a unique resource for corporate clients structuring transactions in this rapidly growing space. BTIG continues to invest in healthcare IT and digital health, and recently announced that David Larsen, CFA, has joined the firm’s Healthcare Research team as a Managing Director and senior Healthcare IT and Digital Health Analyst.

“We are excited to welcome Chris to BTIG. Recently, we have witnessed an unprecedented amount of funding flow to healthcare IT and digital health companies which are lowering healthcare costs, dramatically enhancing patient outcomes and more,” commented Matt Clark, Chief Operating Officer, BTIG Investment Banking. “Chris has the ideal skillset to help advise our clients on some of their most transformative events while navigating this seismic shift in the marketplace.”

Prior to BTIG, Mr. Dorn was a Director within Healthcare IT and Services Investment Banking at Canaccord Genuity. Previously, he held similar roles at Raymond James and Morgan Keegan. Earlier in his career, Mr. Dorn served as a Data Scientist at SESAC, where he focused on data-driven products. He earned a BA in economics and history from Vanderbilt University.

“We believe that Chris will offer tremendous value to our clients,” noted Mr. Stone. “Healthcare IT and digital health companies provide data-driven solutions which serve payors, providers, employers and patients, consistently improving results. As new entrants and established firms embrace and develop new technologies, we believe we will be well-positioned with Chris to support their ambitions.”
