David Richards

David Richards is the Chief Financial Officer of BTIG Limited. He is instrumental in managing the firm’s European headquarters. Based in London, Mr. Richards is responsible for Finance, Human Resources and Health and Safety. Prior to BTIG, he held a number of roles at Merrill Lynch between 1990 and 2008 across Treasury, Fixed Income and Equities, culminating as Chief Operating Officer and Business Manager for European Equity Distribution. From 1987 to 1990, Mr. Richards worked at Bunzl Plc/NewCo as a Divisional Accountant, Group Accountant and Treasurer. Previously, he worked in Internal Audit at Thorn EMI between 1985 and 1987. Mr. Richards received a BA in accounting from Ealing College in London and is a qualified accountant, FCCA.
