BTIG Adds Bank Debt Sales Specialist John Gramins and Distressed-Debt Professional Paul Arena


New York – October 22, 2018 – BTIG, LLC announced today that it has added John Gramins and Paul Arena to its Fixed Income Credit division. Mr. Gramins joins BTIG as a Managing Director within Bank Debt Sales in New York, while Mr. Arena joins as a Director, focused on high-yield and distressed-debt sales in Los Angeles. They will both report into Drew Doscher and Darren Haines, Managing Directors and Co-Heads of Fixed Income Credit at BTIG.

Mr. Gramins strengthens BTIG’s focus on Bank Debt Sales, from within the expanding Fixed Income Credit division, focused on collateralized loan obligations. Mr. Arena will help to grow the division’s West Coast team. “Bank Debt Sales represents another key component of BTIG’s Fixed Income Credit product offering. John’s experience and strong institutional relationships will deepen our value to clients,” said Anton LeRoy, Chief Operating Officer of BTIG. “Paul is also another important addition to our growing fixed income credit franchise. He will help to strengthen client coverage across the West Coast of the U.S.”

Prior to BTIG, Mr. Gramins held similar roles at Capital One, RBC Capital Markets, Oppenheimer & Co. and Lehman Brothers. He has more than 20 years of experience in bank debt sales and trading, specializing in leverage loans and focused on stressed debt, distressed debt, off the run securities, trade claims, litigation and restructured equities.

Previously, Mr. Arena spent thirteen years at Imperial Capital, most recently as Vice President within Institutional Capital Structure Sales and Trading in Los Angeles.
