BTIG Enhances Sector-Focused Trading Team with Andrew Busso, Head of Financials


New York – August 1, 2017 – BTIG, LLC announced today that Andrew Busso has joined the firm as Managing Director and Head of Financials Sector Trading. Mr. Busso will be based in New York, and will report to James Aniello, Managing Director and Head of Equity Trading, at BTIG.

In this new role, he will lead the Financials Sector Trading division, focused on block trading in banks, investment funds, insurance companies, REITs and other real estate-focused companies. “We are pleased to welcome Andrew to BTIG,” said Mr. Aniello. “With significant high-touch trading experience, clients will benefit from his deep product knowledge and strong industry relationships.”

Prior to BTIG, Mr. Busso spent nearly a decade at Cowen, most recently as Managing Director and Head of Financials and REIT Trading. Previously, he held similar roles at Bank of America and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Earlier in his career, Mr. Busso spent 14 years within Institutional Equity Trading at Oppenheimer.

BTIG continues to strengthen financials coverage across its Institutional Sales and Trading, Investment Banking and Equity Research divisions.
