BTIG Fixed Income Credit Group Continues Expansion with Matthew Brown, Kurt Krestinski and John Santonastaso


New York – May 31, 2017 – BTIG, LLC announced today that Matthew Brown, Kurt Krestinski and John Santonastaso have joined the firm within the Fixed Income Credit Group. Based in New York, all three senior fixed income credit professionals join a rapidly-expanding team, led by Drew Doscher and Darren Haines, Co-Heads of the Fixed Income Credit Group at BTIG.

Mr. Brown joins BTIG as a Managing Director within the Fixed Income Credit Group, focused on distressed and high-yield credit sales. Prior to BTIG, he was a Senior Vice President within the High-Yield and Distressed Debt Sales Group at Jefferies. Mr. Brown began his finance career as an attorney at Seaport Global.

Mr. Krestinski joins BTIG as a Managing Director within the Fixed Income Credit Group, focused on trading high-yield debt. Prior to BTIG, he was a Managing Director within the Fixed Income Credit Group at Seaport Global. Mr. Krestinski held several other senior high-yield trading roles at BNP Paribas, Nomura, Citadel, Jefferies and Barclays. Previously, he was a Vice President within the High-Yield Trading Group at Bank of America Securities. Earlier in his career, Mr. Krestinski was a Vice President and Sector Analyst, Trader and Portfolio Manager within the High-Yield Fixed Income Group at UBS Asset Management.

Mr. Santonastaso joins BTIG as a Managing Director within the Fixed Income Credit Group, focused on the distressed market and special situations. Prior to BTIG, he was a Managing Director within the Fixed Income Groups at both Guggenheim and Cantor Fitzgerald. Previously, Mr. Santonastaso was also a Fixed Income Trader on the buy side at Farmstead Capital. Earlier in his career, he was a Managing Director within the Fixed Income Group at Goldman Sachs, and a Director within the Fixed Income Group at Deutsche Bank.
