BTIG to Host Cannabis Conference on April 6-7, 2022

New York – April 4, 2022 – BTIG announced today that it will hold its second annual cannabis-focused conference, which will take place virtually, on Wednesday, April 6th through Thursday, April 7, 2022. This two-day event will include thematic panel discussions, fireside chats and one-on-one meetings. The conference will be hosted by:

  • Camilo Lyon, BTIG Lifestyle Brands and Wellness Analyst
  • Thomas Catherwood, BTIG REIT Analyst
  • Jake Fuller, BTIG Digital Services Analyst
  • Isaac Boltansky, BTIG Director of Policy Research

Industry-leading private and public multi-state operators (MSOs), emerging cannabis brands, technology platforms, and REITs will be participating in the firm’s conference. Management teams from each company will have an opportunity to directly connect with BTIG’s institutional investor clients. “The cannabis industry is evolving into its next phase of development and consolidation,” noted Mr. Lyon. “What follows next will be the emergence of national brands, which will serve as a key source of distinction between operators and ultimately profit margins. The BTIG Cannabis Conference gives our clients an opportunity to hear updates firsthand from industry leaders and pioneers.”

Mr. Lyon leads the firm’s research effort and focus on cannabis. His coverage of U.S. MSOs and partnership with Mr. Boltansky’s policy analysis provide unique insights on the progression of cannabis legislation at both the federal and state levels. Mr. Catherwood’s longstanding REIT coverage and Mr. Fuller’s Digital Services coverage extend directly into the cannabis ecosystem. BTIG’s research coverage provides investors and companies a comprehensive perspective on cannabis’ expanding economic impacts.

“Gathering cannabis producers, cultivators and unique brands in one place provides a valuable opportunity for institutional investors to compare and explore each company’s business model and proprietary technology side by side,” said Mr. Lyon. “We continue to see growth opportunities in the U.S. cannabis industry as more states convert to adult use sales and broader federal legislation hurdles recede, thus accelerating consumer education and adoption.”
